CHIPSY is the programming support environment being developed at RUNIT as part of the Nordic CHILL project. The work has been sponsored by the Nordic Telecommunication administrations, British Telecom and industry in Norway and Switzerland. The system is currently hosted on ND-100 computers. CHIPSY is aimed at the development and maintenance of large real-time systems, especially in the area of telecommunications. CHIPSY is made to support the use of CHILL which is the CCITT recommended language for programming telecommunications applications. CHIPSY is a modular toolset based on standard interfaces between the tools. CHIPSY is designed to be portable across a range of host and target computers.
