Crop-Water Production Functions and Economic Implications for the Texas High Plains Region

摘要

Crop-water production functions are estimated by growth stage for corn, sorghum and wheat grown in the Texas High Plains region. An economic analysis of these production functions provides useful information for farm level irrigation decisions to increase profits and for water conservation policy to lengthen the life of the Ogallala aquifer.
