摘要

The report indicates that nutrition education research has been successful in developing techniques for modifying the food intake of such different groups as individuals at high risk for cardiovascular disease and participants in the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). To be effective, nutrition education research must draw from diverse disciplines and therefore requires significant interdisciplinary cooperation. The report indicates that programs in nutrition education for professionals and the public have not had consistent funding in past years, with a variety of limited programs receiving support at modest and fluctuating levels. The report is presented in four parts and seven appendices.
