摘要

The objective of this research was to provide engineering guidelines and methodologies for the control of air quality in dieselized underground mines. The work includes investigations of the interrelationship between ventilation and diesel operational and control parameters, develops measurement technology and methods, and evaluates emission control devices specific to the operation of diesels in deadend entries. The report includes a description of the emissions measurement apparatus, monitoring methods and evaluation, evaluation of on-board CO2 monitors, selective analysis for diesel soot in coal mine dust samples, exhaust control techniques using a mine air quality laboratory, and technical papers.
