Archeological Investigations at Sites 41HY75 and 41HY92, Upper San Marcos River, Hays County, Texas

Archaeological mitigation was undertaken on two prehistoric sites in Hays County, Texas. The investigations were designed to explore the range and nature of the lithic resources at the two cultural localities. A research procedure was applied to test the spatial relationships between core and biface reduction loci and reduction debitage. Based upon the statistical relationships between reduction data sets, it was shown that neither of the two sites met the criteria for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
