Report on Ohio's Priority Lakes for Restoration or Protection

摘要

The study describes an inventory of Ohio's publicly-owned lakes greater than 15 acres in size. Obtained water quality data for 85 lakes and created a priority list for those needing restoration or protection. The report describes prioritization criteria and Carlson's trophic index. Most widespread problems in Ohio lakes are sedimentation resulting from erosion, aquatic macrophytes, and algal blooms.
