New Directions in Office Planning: The Influence of the Fire Properties of Materials and Components on Fire Safety

The fire properties of some materials and building components used in modern office buildings are described. Recommendations are made on the selection and use of materials and components to ensure a reasonable degree of passive (built-in) fire-safety without detracting from the functionality and flexibility of buildings.
