Proceedings of the Conference on Energy Conservation and Firesafety in Buildings Held at Washington, DC. on June 10-11, 1981

This report presents the proceedings of a two-day conference held in June 1981 on energy conservation and fire safety in buildings. The conference was hosted by the Building Research Advisory Board of the National Research Council. The purpose of the conference was to examine the need for a technically sound approach to measuring the impact of energy-conserving measures on the design and construction of firesafe buildings. Papers included in the report focus on specific areas: defining fire safety problems in relation to energy conservation, insulating materials and fire safety, and challenges and opportunities for those in the building industry.
