This is a report supplement containing GAO comments on the Veterans Administration's reply to the June 19, 1981, GAO report entitled 'Providing Veterans With Service-Connected Dental Problems Higher Priority at VA Clinics Could Reduce Fee-Program Costs.' This report presents a digest of the earlier report, together with GAO's analysis of and response to the VA's comments. It also presents data on the extent to which dental care is provided to inpatients at military and other non-VA hospitals.
