Urban Indian Children: Five Years Later

摘要

The adaptation of 120 American Indian families to urban living was studied. The five-year follow-up tested the hypotheses that there are four classifications and that adaptation is based upon the class into which the family fits. In general Indian families adapt well to both urban and reservation environment if they had a strong Indian support network.
