摘要

The Iowa Alluvial River Model (IALLUVIAL) is developed for predicting changes in river bed elevation, flow depth and velocity, energy slope and bed-material composition in response to man-made structures or controls imposed on alluvial rivers. It is a one-dimensional, quasi-steady model that incorporates knowledge of the sediment-transport and friction-factor characteristics of flow in alluvial streams. IALLUVIAL uses a friction-factor relationship which includes sediment discharge as one of the independent variables and routes the flow and sediment in two phases. IALLUVIAL is applied to the 200-mile reach of the Missouri River downstream of the Gavins Point Dam.
