Influence of the Interspersion of Agriculture and Natural Habitats on Wildlife in Southern California and Western Arizona

This report studies the agricultural areas to quantify wildlife species numbers and densities in order to arrive at an evaluation of the net effect of replacing riparian vegetation with agricultural areas. It also studies the extent of use by riparian birds in the areas concerned and wildlife use of agricultural crops and other agricultural features such as weedy margins, canals, inhabitated areas, and feedlots. This report also studied which agricultural crops were preferred over others and to what degree wildlife use was in these areas.
