Evaluation of Corrosion in Pulp and Paper Mill White Water Reuse Applications

摘要

The purpose of this research was to develop data for predicting the rates of corrosion of common metals at various levels of white water reuse in a pulp and paper mill. The white water at a kraft pulp and paper mill was characterized in terms of physical properties that are known to have potential corrosion hazards. Among the physical properties measured were temperature, conductivity, chloride concentration, hardness, sulfate concentration, pH, barium concentration, and sodium concentration.
