Broilers and Eggs Led Increase in U.S. Poultry Exports in 1981

Exports of U.S. poultry products showed substantial increases again in 1981. Poultry meat accounted for two-thirds of the overall export value in 1981, while eggs and egg products made up about one-fourth of the total, and live poultry exports brought in the remaining value. Chicken parts, whole broilers, table eggs, and egg products accounted for almost all of the increase in the U.S. total export value for poultry in 1981.
