Canned Fruit Situation

Countries in the European Community exchanged more canned deciduous fruits within that area in 1981 and exports were lower by the major exporting countries outside the EC market. All producing countries are confronted with higher costs and declining world demand for canned fruits. Canned deciduous output, at least in non-EC countries, should be lower and marketing conditions are not expected to improve significantly.
