Bald Eagle Winter Habitat on Southwestern National Forest

An extensive, winter survey and habitat study in 1978 located about 100 bald eagles in Arizona and 350 in New Mexico. Perching habits varied greatly but predictably. Study results offer some qualitative insights for habitat managers.
