Ischaemia in the Heart Due to Atherosclerotic Mechanisms, Flow Anomalies and Vascular Spasm

摘要

In this report the authors have examined the evidence which seeks to identify ischaemia in the heart due to vascular occlusions that result from atherosclerotic mechanisms, hemodynamic flow anomalies and coronary artery spasm. The authors have shown how these mechanisms can act independently to cause ischaemia, and they have also presented findings which suggest cause-and-effect inter-relationships that may involve these mechanisms working together to produce ischaemia.
