摘要

The essence of centrifugal model testing lies in the use of materials similar to those employed in the field, formed in similar geometries with every dimension in the model reduced by the scaling factor n, and the model subjected to centripetal accelerations n times earth's gravity. Boundary conditions should be replicated as closely as possible in terms of stress or scaled displacement. The specific objective of the tests reported was to observe and classify the behavior of reinforced concrete cantilever walls with granular backfill, subjected to simplified earthquakes of various intensities.
