This research project was developed with the overall objective of assisting in the assessment of possible impacts of oil and gas exploitation on the biota of the Flower Garden Banks, which are located on the outer continental shelf of the northern Gulf of Mexico. No definitive evidence was obtained from this study that drilling either at Platform A or at Platform B produced any significant impacts upon sediment texture, TOC, or the associated macroinfauna.
