Study of Seismic Response at Stations 6 and 7, El Centro Strong Motion Array, Imperial Valley, California

摘要

The process of assembling the shear-strength profiles for Stations 6 and 7 of the El Centro Strong Motion Array in Imperial Valley, California is described. The profiles were derived from available data based on cone penetration and laboratory tests. A parametric study was conducted in which a number of earthquake motions as well as the strength profiles and their variations were considered as input to nonlinear seismic response computations.
