MIIS Mail System - System Administrator User's Manual Version 1.0

The MIIS Mail System is a flexible general purpose mail handling utility package. Provision is made for specification of multiple selection criteria for reading mail, multiple means of selecting recipients of, and editing capabilities. The system consists of three main modules. The modules include: (1) administrative functions such as adding/editing users and defining recipient lists; (2) reading mail and specification of multiple selection criteria for viewing mail; and (3) procedures for sending mail, selection of recipients, and message editing capabilities. This document is intended as a guide to System Administrators for the MIIS Mail System. The material manual includes definitions and descriptions of terms and message fields used in the mail system, instructions for the initialization of the mail system, a discussion of the file design with examples, and descriptions of each module, its use and function. The System Administrator's prerogatives are specifically defined in addition to instructions for general use of the mail system.
