Facilitated Transport Liquid Membrane Separations for the Gas Industry

This report discusses a fundamental research to provide the basis for a new gas separation process, facilitated transport liquid membranes, which has the potential to overcome the selectivity problems inherent in conventional membrane separation processes and to investigate the mechanism for facilitated transport, the relationship between mass transport and system properties, and evaluate degradation problems in liquid membrane systems.
