Chemistry and Ecology of an Acid Bog Receiving Municipal Wastewater at Drummond Wisconsin. A Summary of Research 1978-1981

This report is a synthesis of the preliminary results of a multidisciplinary investigation to determine the response of a natural peat bog to the application of secondarily treated municipal wastewater. The principal objectives of this study are to: evaluate the efficiency of this type of wetland for wastewater renovation, assess the ecological impact of secondary effluent on the bog system, and expand the basic knowledge of northern peatlands.
