Review and Labeling of Foreign Films by the Justice Department

Under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, the Department of Justice, from 1980 through 1982, reviewed 27 foreign films of which 11, or 41 percent, were determined to be propaganda oriented. This report discusses the policies and procedures the Justice Department uses in reviewing and labeling foreign films.
