The CIB Master List is an internationally agreed list of headings for arranging, and presenting information used in the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings and building services. In some countries, the Master List has been found useful for the arrangement and classification of literature in office libraries. The Master List order is linked with the process of design, construction, operation, maintenance and repair. It enables technical documents to be arranged in a consistent form; making cross-reference between documents easy, and facilitating search for information.
