The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is conducting a program to study occupational Hazard Control Options for Chemical Process Unit Operations, NIOSH Contract No. 210-80-0071. The objective of this program is to obtain information on methods and techniques used in the Chemical Process Industries to control and/or eliminate workplace exposures associated with chemical unit operations. This is a report of the preliminary survey conducted at the Koppers Co., Organic Materials Group facility at Chicago, IL. on June 22, 1982, with the assistance of plant personnel.
