Further Development and Application of an Experimental Method to Optimize the Wave Power of Ships

Research is continued in the Webb Tank using the XY wave survey method on a model of the Mar Ad Security Class (MMS) Ship. Tests are run on a stern bulb, a vertically distributed bow bulb and on a bow bulb - protuberance combination using a newly developed two-change optimization theory. Results are discussed and conclusions drawn about the changes made and about the validity of and necessity for this approach.
