The scope of the evaluation activity included reviewing the program coordination activities handled at the state level and attending one of the Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic Schools (ADETS) courses in order to describe the process, analyzing knowledge tests taken by ADETS students to assess knowledge gain as a result of attending the schools, surveying various ADETS users groups to determine their perceptions of the program, querying neighboring states as to their practices in regards to ADETS type programs and analyzing DUI arrest/conviction data and accident data to assess the potential deterrent effects that may be realized as a result of attending the course.
