The specification establishes the requirements for performance, design, test, and qualification of a computer program identified as the ALS INTEL 8086 Importer (hereafter referred to as 'Importer'), Computer Program Configuration Item (CPCI) Number 36. The Importer is included in the Ada Language System to allow users to prepare assembly language subprograms produced by an Intel 8086 Assembler for incorporation in Ada compilation units. The Importer transforms an Intel 8086 relocatable object module into a container representing either an Ada Package body or an Ada subprogram body, depending on the inputs to the Importer.
