摘要

A low-energy water circulator was field tested in a Hawaiian prawn pond over a four-month period. Artificial circulation reduced thermal stratification resulting in significantly higher bottom temperatures and bottom oxygen concentrations. Manure applications resulted in a doubling of alkalinity and conductivity, greatly increased chlorophyll a concentrations and Benthic fauna populations, and decreased Secchi disc transparencies.
