Tomographic Velocity-Estimation for Crosshole Measurement (Tomografisk Hastighets-Skattning foer Mellanhals-Maetningar)

A discussion of uniqueness and confidence for estimated velocities is given on the basis of a well-known linear model from mathematical statistics. An analysis of an earlier proposed iterative tomographic algorithm is also included. In fact the results from this algorithm can naturally be interpreted in terms of the mentioned linear model. Examples are given from a field-experiment at Krakemala in southern Sweden conducted in late 1981.
