摘要

The purpose of this report is to assess the feasibility of an analog 'black box' approach to mine ventilation simulation in which electronic or mechanical elements are physically interconnected in order to model an underground ventilation network. A black box approach to ventilation simulation involves the use of electronic or fluid-mechanical elements that have the proper square law dependence between pressure and flow. These elements would be assembled in a configuration that represents the ventilation network. When activated, the flows or pressures can be measured. Branch resistances can be easily changed to simulate new test conditions, such as a regulator readjustment, or breakthrough between sections. Both the fluid-mechanical and analog electronic models can be made that have the capability to model nonlinear flow in networks such as mines.
