Final Report on the Behavioral Evaluation of Workers Exposed to the Solvent Used in Spray Painting

A cross sectional survey of two hundred and sixty one workers was conducted. One hundred and thirty two of these workers were currently employed in jobs initially identified as exposed during an industrial hygiene walk-through. Subsequently personal lapel samples from workers on the solvent exposed jobs and from workers on a fraction of the nonexposed jobs were collected and analyzed for solvents. A neurological examination, blood and urine samples for evaluation of drug use, alcohol use, liver and renal function were obtained from each subject.
