President's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control: Report on Real Property Management, Report on Land/Facilities/Personal Property, and Report on Procurement/Contracts/Inventory Management

The report represents the results of the Real Property Management Task Force of the President's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control in the Federal Government. The Report on Real Property Management contains major recommendations which, when fully implemented, could result in three-year cost savings and revenue generation of $3,352 million and three-year cash acceleration of $231 million. It should be noted, however, that some of the recommendations may require several years for the savings and revenue to be realized. While all facets of the management of Federal Real Property could not be surveyed in the time allotted, areas selected for review were considered to offer significant potential for cost control and improved efficiency.
