President's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control: Report on the Environmental Protection Agency, the Small Business Administration and the Federal Emergency Management Agency

The report represents the results of the Environmental Protection Agency, Small Business Administration, and Federal Emergency Management Agency Task Force of the President's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control in the Federal Government. The Report on EPA/SBA/FEMA contains major recommendations which, when fully implemented, could result in three-year cost savings and revenue generation of $1,862 million and three-year cash acceleration of $315 million. It should be noted, however, that some of the recommendations may require several years for the savings and revenue to be realized. While all facets of EPA/SBA/FEMA could not be surveyed in the time allotted, areas selected for review were considered to offer significant potential for cost control and improved efficiency.
