Archaeological Investigations at the Weber 1 (20SA581) and Weber 2 (20SA82) Sites, Frankenmuth Township, Saginaw County, Michigan

This report details the results of archaeological, documentary, and oral historical research conducted as data recovery associated with two sites, 20SA581 and 20SA582, in Frankenmuth Twp., Saginaw County, Michigan. Both sites were partially destroyed by construction of the Dehmel Road Bridge over the Cass River. This report, in three sections, presents details of recovery methods, analysis and conclusions. The first section is a history of project investigations. The second section describes a variety of data related to the Middle Archaic, Late Archaic, and Woodland occupations at the stratified Weber I Site 20SA581. The third section relates details of the 19th century occupation at the Weber II site 20SA582 through archaeological, oral historical, and documentary research.
