Interference Measurements on Amplitude Compandored Single Sideband (ACSB) Land Mobil Radio

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) funded the ECAC to conduct adjacent-signal interference tests on a new radio system technology that shows promise of allowing smaller channel spacing in the Government land mobile radio band (162-174 MHz). The system tested was an amplitude compandored single-sideband radio (ACSB) manufactured by Sideband Technology, Inc. This report presents the adjacent-signal interference (ASI) result which will be employed by NTIA in evaluation of the potential usage of the ACSB technology in the Government land mobile radio band.
