The improvements are designed to give better property prediction for systems containing moderately and strongly polar constituents, for systems containing hydrogen, and for systems containing non-spherical molecules such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. The procedure is basically designed for use with computers. The mixture properties obtained are compressibility factors, enthalpy, entropy, and densities of liquids and vapors at both high and low pressures from cryogenic temperatures to reservoir conditions. Equilibrium K-values are predicted simultaneously. These properties are essential for: design of heat exchangers, compressors, turbo-expanders, and separation processes for gases and liquids; calculations of dew points and bubble points; predicting phase changes, and reservoir operations. The advantage of this approach is a much more rigorous and theoretically based composition dependence when using a group of pure-component equations of state to predict properties of mixtures of these components.
