National OES Survey-Based Matrix Occupation-Industry Employment, 1982 and Projected 1995 Alternatives.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has developed a comprehensive set of data on the occupational employment composition of all industry sectors in the economy. These data are based on chiefly on Occupational Employment Statistics surveys conducted in the States. The data are arranged in a matrix or table showing how total occupational employment is distributed by industry. A second tabulation shows estimated employment in specific occupations and groups of occupations, cross-classified by industry. The current report contains data for 1982 and three projected 1995 alternatives. Data are available for 260 detailed industries and more than 600 detailed occupations. The classification of the industries is based on the 1972 Standard Industrial Classification System manual and the occupational classifications are based on the OES surveys.
