Interfirm Productivity Comparisons Project: Final Report for the New Jersey Tooling and Machining Industry. Volume 2. A Manual of Guidelines and Lessons

This report consists of three volumes: Volume I - Interfirm Productivity Comparisons Project: Final Report for the New Jersey Tooling and Machining Industry; Volume II - Improving Productivity Through Interfirm Comparisons: A Manual of Guidelines and Lessons; and Volume III - An Interfirm Productivity Comparison of the New Jersey Tooling and Machining Industry: Individual Firm Report for Nuts and Bolts, Inc. Peter Bearse Associates conducted a national pilot project to demonstrate the efficacy of interfirm comparisons as a tool to diagnose firms' productivity strengths and weaknesses and to induce productivity improvements. The main product of this project is individual management consulting reports for each of the participating firms. An industry report has also been prepared as a supplement to the firm reports in order to add to the understanding of the problems and potentials of this industry on a collective level.
