Gas Research Institute 1985-1989 Five-Year Research and Development Plan and 1985 Research and Development Program

The Gas Research Institute (GRI) plans, manages, and develops financing for a cooperative research and development (R&D) program in supply, transport, storage, and end-use of gaseous fuels for the mutual benefit of the gas industry and its present and future customers. Developing new and improved technologies which maximize the value of gas energy services while minimizing the cost of supplying and delivering gaseous fuels is the most effective way to serve the mutual interests of both the industry and its customers. GRI's R&D program for the next five years is described in the 1985-1989 Five-Year Plan (henceforth referred to as the Plan), with emphasis on R&D proposed for 1985. The program is subject to annual review and approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) with participation by state regulatory commissions and other interested parties.
