The volume reports the results of a shipwreck survey within the National Park Service and NOAA Foundation of Drakes Bay. Electronically-positioned magnetometer, side-scan sonar and sub-bottom profile surveys were conducted and are discussed. The volume includes historical information on wrecks, an environmental discussion, early maritime history of the area and a detailed remote-sensing survey designed for historical shipwreck location.
