On-Site Chipper for Reduction of Forest Residues

The on-site chipper provides an alternative to residue disposal by burning in those situations where burning cannot be accomplished because of silvicultural or environmental reasons. The on-site chipper meets the criteria of being able to chip 6-inch diameter material at a rate of 3 tons per hour; to negotiate and operate on 100 percent slopes, and is mobile in that the chipper can winch itself to the chipping site where no roads exist.
