Modified Test Procedure for Texas Freeze-Thaw Pedestal Test

摘要

The report describes the Texas Freeze-Thaw Pedestal Test and modifications of the test procedure. The test can be used to determine whether aggregate-asphalt combinations are susceptible to moisture damage such as stripping and to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed antistripping additives. A guide to the use of the procedure to evaluate both existing and proposed mixtures is included along with a discussion of the applicability of the test.
