Here the authors extend the investigation in Part I (Mook, Plaut, HaQuang (1983)) by considering excitations which contain more than one frequency. The set of equations includes weak quadratic and cubic nonlinearities and linear damping. As in Part I, the authors utilize the method of multiple scales to examine transient and steady-state responses under a number of resonance conditions. The example of forced oscillations of a shallow arch is used to illustrate the main features of the general results.
