Pathways and Future Directions for Environmental Data and Information Users

Proceedings focus on the interdisciplinary use of environmental data and information available from NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Services (NESDIS) data centers. Topical areas included such diverse activities as: legal and insurance industries; business, commodities, manufacturing, trave and recreation; public and environmental health; communications; the marine environment, research and academia; disaster preparedness, and resource management. It describes future plans for on-line services and the technology transfer program of NOAA, Fifty-three papers are presented.
