Data from the report will provide an expanded information base that will be used to plan the preservation/stabilization and interpretation of Ellis Island. The study does not present the entire history of Ellis Island; it is intended as a series of short monograph-type studies presenting expanded research data on topics that National Park Service Personnel at the Statue of Liberty National Monument cited as requiring further documentation.
