Settling Velocity Distributions of Manganese Nodule Mining Waste Samples

A laboratory method was developed for direct measurements of the wet density/size spectra of the fine fraction of manganese nodule mining waste particles. The objective was to obtain settling velocity distributions for two mining waste samples from the pilot mining tests conducted in the North Equatorial Pacific in 1978.
