Status of Youth Employment Competency Systems under JTPA (Job Training Partnership Act)

This report contains a description of the status of youth employment competency systems under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) during FY 1984. Data were collected using a general letter survey instrument and nine onsite visits to selected sites. Findings and conclusions are presented along with recommendations to USDOL for FY 1984-1985 in regard to youth employment competency systems (YEC). The limited number of Service Delivery Areas that have a functioning youth employment competency system make the conclusions and recommendations tentative.
