Visual Vulnerability of the Landscape: Control of Visual Quality

摘要

This publication defines visual vulnerability as the landscape's inherent resistance or susceptibility to degrading visual impacts. From 10 elements of landforms and surface patterns, seen as visual attributes of the landscape, the magnitude of potential change can be predicted before specific sources of impact, such as timber cutting and roadbuilding, are known. Landform analysis elements include profiles or silhouettes, various surface slope categories and related visual surface areas, and various landform segments and edges and their locations.
